Smucker company post acquisition, which included visiting the prior R&D facility in Lenexa, KS for training and setting up the new R&D labs in Orrville, OH• Developed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for producing Hostess products in the R&D labs• Created food safety process flow diagrams in compliance with FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) for production of both baked and fried products in the R&D labs• Collaborate with cross functional partners including: Brand Management, Insights, Product Research, Packaging Development, Sales, Engineering, and Operations throughout new product design• Formulate products based on ingredient functionality, nutritional targets, consumer need, claim substantiation, operational feasibility, and financial targets independently• Conduct experiments from rapid, iterative prototyping to development and scale-up (benchtop, pilot plant, plant)• Compose new and update existing documents such as specs (ingredients, finished product), reports, project updates, and data analyses
