ABOUT PHILIP BALE
Philip has a 1st class honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and has worked in the T&D sector for 13 years. He has worked for the UK’s leading Distribution Network Operator in the key areas and departments. This main focus has been in the Future Networks, Innovation and Low Carbon team and the Primary System Design team. Upon completing the training scheme he developed into a specialist project manager, forming projects, securing funding and leading innovative projects to network related problems. These include the flagship projects: • Lincolnshire Low Carbon Hub, connecting increasing levels of renewable generation to the existing primary distribution networks,• SoLa Bristol, demonstrating an innovative way of incorporating solar PV to the low voltage network using in-home batteries and Direct Current networks, and• Network Equilibrium, balancing voltages and power flows to unlock additional capacity on 11kV, 33kV and 132kV networks.
