I am a partner in and head of the banking and asset finance team at Fieldfisher. I also co-lead the Financial Services Sector. I have over 20 years\' experience as a banking and real estate finance lawyer and am ranked as a leading individual by both Chambers UK 2018 and the Legal 50•••17. I have been described by the directories as being \"pragmatic and commercial\", leading a team that \"decodes complex legal concepts into easily understandable language\" and \"with enormous energy and commitment on complex transactions\". I strive to be proactive for my clients with strong personal oversight, retaining a perspective on the wider commercial picture, protecting the clients\' interests but maintaining a commercial, solutions driven approach. Real estate finance clients include German pfandbrief banks, investment banks, international banks, hedge funds, real estate funds and corporate borrowers. I am also increasingly advising clients lending into the fast moving technology and life sciences sectors and have broad experience acting on a wide range of loan finance transactions including acquisition finance, funds finance and receivables finance. I created the Fieldfisher real estate finance blog REFlections from the Riverbank, am an active member of CREFC, on the leadership committee of their Intercreditor Agreement working group and an active member of the Loan Market Association and the ULI. Outside the office I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, running, cycling and reminiscing about playing hockey.
