About Phil Chen

Hi I\'m Phil! My first 3 dreams when i was a young man were 1) to build paths for others 2) go to the moon and the stars (astronaut) and 3) sports. Every childhood dream of mine was expressed in a different way through building an international coaching/volunteering organization through Global Brigades/Baruch Business Brigades, knowing humanity needs a boost to other worlds through capital markets, development and intercultural awareness and have a little fun competition, the tech and business side of me, along the way, with my pursuits now in tech, admin roles and finance/banking for companies/startups. In my free time i enjoy an occasional chess game, a leisurely read, playing a pickup basketball game and brushing up on my East Asian, Spanish language and Western literature/classics knowledge. i love watching sports such as basketball, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and hockey and believe in the quote we may “put on our oxygen mask before putting on someone else’s” and “if fire lives on, it ensures we may light someone else’s candle”

   Happy New Year! i am excited to announce that i will be writing a Substack to share insights from my experiences in startups, finance, and founding a successful student organization, as well as working with political figures and learning so many languages and meeting so many amazing people from every walk of life!This initiative is aimed for younger generations, helping them avoid the mistakes i made, such as having a $billion+ startup opportunity that could have positioned Asia as an equalizer with Feibull and in the realms of Polymarket and Kalshi.Having worked across various industries and feeling incredibly fortunate, i believe it is my responsibility to share my knowledge.
