Experienced mining and projects executive with 30 plus years experience in the mining industry, including over two decades of general management, technical leadership, and project delivery expertise across diverse commodities and geographies. His hands-on experience spans the full project lifecycle, from early-stage studies through to execution and commissioning, covering open pit and underground mines, process plants, bulk materials handling, and infrastructure. He has held senior executive roles, managing large international portfolios and leading multidisciplinary teams. His strengths lie in strategic project development, business operations management, safety leadership, and driving performance across engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial functions. Renowned for building high-performing teams and building strong client relationships, he is a trusted leader in delivering complex capital projects that deliver with excellence with a focus on value creation and operational performance. International project experience gained across West, Central and Southern Africa, Canada, USA, India, China, Ecuador, Peru, Saudi Arabia and Australia. A mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Pretoria, in South Africa, a registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and a certified Project Management Professional with PMI.
