20 years experience in business start-ups in cross sector environments.A builder and creator at heart with social value & impact a key personal driver, well placed to understand challenges and opportunities for investors, founders and businesses looking to develop, grow & scale. Past work included Co-Founding an Education & Ed Tech company delivering enterprise workshops engaging & impacting thousands of young people and building an award winning, nationally acclaimed programme with the UK\'s first student run & managed juice bar businesses in universities, schools & colleges across the UK.Co-Founded UK Black Tech, a 20k + strong network Technology group innovating & solving societal challenges we face locally and globally, conducting R&D, delivering reports, services for global organisations & industry, training, events, workshops/hackathons, upskilling in digital competences whilst championing the UK Tech sector and supporting homegrown talent & innovators. Served on board of the £32 Million City of Culture project which engaged 9 out of 10 residents experiencing a cultural activity in the City of Hull. Current work is developing a venture builder programme supporting untapped talent pipelines to build & scale innovative solutions & enterprises in the Womens Health space.I serve as a board advisor for 2 early stage companies. Space Tech company Pangalatic (Pangalatic.io) and a sustainability & ESG software company Axiom (axiom-sustainability.com). I also sit on the External Advisory Board for Computer Science at University of Leeds and on the Research Advisory group for Royal Academy of Engineering.
