Quantum Base (QB) is a technology company created by Phillip Speed (CEO) and Professor Robert Young (Chief Scientific Officer) in 2013. QB uses new scientific discovery in the field of quantum technologies to create a new disruptive set of products and IP that delivers unbreakable security in an array of solutions. We deliver extreme low marginal cost, mass-market nanoscale quantum solutions to address the costs associated with global counterfeiting, untaxed goods, pharmaceuticals and currencies – our Q-ID® Optical solution. Beyond cost savings and driving consumer trust in brands, Optical QB technologies will provide a real time data linkage from manufacturers to end users, connecting communities of interest across global supply chains, and allowing significant new levels of global consumer insight. Through our electronic portfolio of nanoscale quantum solutions, we can provide trust-enabling authentication for semiconductor chip design and for the rapidly expanding internet of things – our Q-ID® Electronic and Q-RAND®, our nanoscale all-electronic quantum random number generator. The research underpinning these new scientific break-throughs has received funding from The Royal Society (~£1M) and the US Air Force (~$1M) amongst others, and has been published several times in Nature and other high-profile scientific journals.
