About Phil Sarid

My practice at Morgan Lewis is focused in the areas of securitization and structured finance. I have experience representing investment funds, investment banking firms, financial institutions and operating companies acting as an issuer, initial purchaser, borrower or lender in a wide range of transactions, including issuances of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS), as well as forward-flow and bulk sales and acquisitions and financings of various types of assets, in particular residential mortgage loans (first lien and closed-end second lien), home equity lines of credit (HELOC), residential transition loans (RTL), secured and unsecured consumer and personal loans, home improvement loans, solar loans and retail installment contracts (including economic participations in the foregoing). I am also the author of 101 Questions I Wish I Asked (About Securitization), a treatise on introductory securitization concepts (in the form of a Q&A). A copy is available upon request.Views expressed are my own and not those of Morgan Lewis.
