My 40 year career has spanned the worlds of commercial insurance, Angel /Venture investing as well as real estate.After graduating from the University of Miami’s school of Business, I spent my early years in the insurance industry building my risk management acumen,acquiring my property and casualty, life, health and benefits, series 7 and series 63 licenses. Working for insurance giants such as Aetna C&S and large construction focused brokerages, I quickly gained a reputation as a trusted source for my clients.In 1996 I founded the Amerisc Corp. which became a top five independently owned insurance brokerage in the tri-state region. Over a 15 year span, Amerisc dominated real estate and construction portfolios becoming a regional insurance powerhouse.In 2011 I became a founding member of Soundboard Angel fund ( SBAF ) an early stage investment fund focused on providing capital to emerging markets. Amerisc, a thriving Insurance brokerage,created an opportunity to exit to USI, then a Goldman Sachs enterprise ( now owned by KKR ).I continue to manage USI‘s Long Island operations. My goal is to help build an organization that enables professionals to develop and thrive in an atmosphere designed to provide the skills to improve our clients risk profile. “In order to lead others you must lead yourself.”
