About Phil McLendon

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. I studied Communications at the University of Memphis where I earned the Emerging Leaders 4 year scholarship. Immediately following my graduation, I took a video editing job at WMC Action News 5. During my 7 years at Action News 5, I worked as a breaking news camera man, video editor, and my personal favorite, a video journalist filming and doing on- air reporting every week. I also used to film for the Memphis Grizzlies. I filmed home games as well as Grizzlies sponsored events at St. Jude Research Hospital, Stax Museum, and numerous other organizations with which the team is affiliated. I\'ve always wanted to run my own business. I have worked doing part time and seasonal moving since I was in high school. I worked for Harry Wilder\'s Complete Moving Service back in 2009/2010, and I studied under some of the best movers, packers, and loaders in the local industry. I learned how to pack a truck, how to pre-wrap and protect furniture, how to drive the trucks, how to treat our valued customers. But the most important thing I learned during that time: I found my passion. I immediately drove home after moving all day, and started my business. I rented moving trucks to move my clients until I saved enough to get my own trucks. I also passionately sought after a solid moving crew. I recruited some of the best of the best. I\'m not saying it was easy, but I eventually found determined, ambitious, smart, loyal, and efficient crew members from numerous sources in and around the tri-state area. And I am SO PROUD of my team. I named my company \"Absolute\", and today I stand strongly by that name. We are the Absolute BEST in customer service, professional and affordable moving, dependability, integrity, and efficiency. This thing has grown so quickly, and I am so excited to see what the future holds!
