British National with over 40 years of experience in the Shipbuilding, Oil & Gas and Automotive Industries with over 35 years in Weight Engineering. Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) and a Senior Member of the Society of Allied Weight Engineers (SAWE).Weight Engineering Lead on numerous large scale projects for Client, Contractor and Fabricator, including Submarines, Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers, Offshore Patrol Vessels, new build Topsides, Jackets, Subsea Templates and Flowlines, Platform upgrades, FPSO conversions and in Automotive for Jaguar Land Rover.All aspects of Weight Management and Engineering covered including: Weight audits, weight budgets, weight reporting, project weight reduction programs, weight risk assessment and data maturity, Conceptual/FEED weight estimating / planning and executing a weight engineering strategy for the duration of major projects. Weight Reports and procedures designed and produced both for corporate and project use. Fully conversant with Industry standards and practices, also involved in Quantity Measurement Management / reporting and WLTP.International experience has been gained in Norway (Oil & Gas) and the Nederland’s (Shipbuilding), also with experience on ultra High Pressure / High Temperature (uHP/HT) projects. I have worked in design, project and on-site offices and on the shop floor. Experienced in discipline liaison for information gathering, weight change management, weight reduction measures and weight reviews / audits.Capable of directing and assisting other engineers and specialists to work as an effective team.Ability to work with personnel from other disciplines, contractor and sub-contractors, as required, to perform the necessary reviews of Detailed Design / Fabrication activities and also as a senior member of the project team providing leadership and direction to subordinates.I also have experience in document control, office administration and fabrication site co-ordination.
