As a division of the Cabinet Office, the Government Commercial Organisation (GCO) is the employer of senior commercial professionals, at Grade 7 and above, within the Government Commercial Function (GCF).As a part of the Commercial Grants Cell, Commercial Leads help deliver funds efficiently and effectively to where they are most needed. The role involves design, assessment, delivery, and monitoring Funds across the Department as well as providing direct commercial support to recipients of the Levelling Up Fund through a hands-on advisory and support role to enable project delivery across procurement and thematic areas. Within the role Commercial Leads advise on, design, and deliver robust assessment and monitoring processes to maximise the benefits of the funds, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders within DLUHC and from Other Government Departments. Supporting the development of the commercial approach for future investment programmes in line with the Government’s Functional Standards for Grants.As part of an inclusive, collaborative Commercial directorate that strives to embed commercial best practice and efficiencies throughout the department.
