ABOUT PHIL-JAY WHYTE
I’m a Senior at Fairfield University with a major in International Studies & minors in Applied Statistics and Mathematics. Originally from Hanover, Jamaica, but currently residing in Newark, NJ. I’m interested in data analysis & applied statistics for research. With a passion for humanity & all things social justice, I intentionally involve myself in initiatives that are geared towards social impact. At Fairfield University, I’ve held leadership positions in the Black Student Union and DEI in STEM Club. In addition, I am a Community-Engaged Research Fellow for the Center for Social Impact, Intern at Kroll, a member of the Diversity Advisory Board, and a Cura Personalis Mentor for underclassmen. After graduating from Fairfield University in 2025, I aspire to pursue a Master’s Degree in either Data Science for Public Policy, Quantitative Social Science, Applied Statistics, or Applied Data Science.
