ABOUT PHIL GILLING

Human Factors, critical risk management, Air Safety, leadership, teamwork. Phil became highly proficient in these areas during 32 years in the RAF as a helicopter pilot, tactics instructor and Human Factors facilitator and manager. He gained further experience as a trainer and manager during six years at RAF College Cranwell training officer cadets where he progressed to become the deputy commander (Chief of Staff) of the officer training unit. His passion for enabling people to achieve their best potential led to him gaining a MSc in Leadership and Management whilst at the College. Phil concluded his RAF service as the Air Safety Manager for The Red Arrows. Here he increased his experience in the employment of Human Factors as well as the management of critical risks.Phil now uses this experience to enhance safety and efficiency through Human Factors, leadership and teamwork, and also to enhance the management systems in organisations.
