A highly experienced business leader and director with a focus on Financial Services, specifically in renewable energy, banking and automotive to drive growth, restructure or undertake M&A activities to add value. Areas of specialisation are renewable energy, automotive, and multi-asset leasing; I have a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes for clients in the UK, and Europe.Some examples of my work:• Turned-around and grew the UK’s foremost funder of renewable energy from waste/biogas projects with over 50 projects funded• Successfully funded and refinanced large-scale renewable biogas projects worth over £750m• Advised banks and debt funders on multi-asset renewable energy lending strategy and implementation, in support of sustainability and ESG targets• Restructured, turned around, and successfully sold a distressed large-scale 40MW battery storage and 20MW gas-peaking project, achieving sales revenues in excess of original lend• Conducted commercial buy-side due diligence on successful large-scale renewable energy transactions in Europe and the UK worth over €2bn• Restructured and turned around a €2bn+ distressed multi-asset, equipment, and property portfolio across three countries for a government-owned bank in Central Eastern Europe, releasing >€340m of extra liquidity• Developed an innovative digital, interactive property auction process for a Southern European bank, achieving €88m of improvement on asset provisioning• Integrated a UK bank-owned car/LCV leased fleet into a specialist joint venture contract-hire operation• Advised a UK bank on the purchase and operational integration of a multi-franchise car/LCV dealer group with 80+ sites, along with its in-house vehicle contract-hire fleet into the bank’s existing businessThrough my hands-on commercial and operational experience and advisory support, I have enabled businesses to achieve sustainable growth, implement effective lending strategies, and make successful acquisitions.
