An experienced and robust commercial lawyer, with over 25 years of post qualification experience, spread equally between private practice and industry. During this period I have had extensive experience of running legal functions and managing teams of lawyers. Using this core skill set I have moved into a Board level commercial and regulatory management role, encompassing legal and company secretarial, Communications and CSR, Internal Compliance Audit, Tata Business Excellence, and Estates, with central strategic input into the running of a £300m turnover chemicals manufacturing business, while remaining a \"hands on\" lawyer. I am a Trustee of the British Salt Retirement Income and Life Assurance scheme, and also acted as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Brunner Mond Pension Fund for two years.
