ABOUT PHIL DAKIN

Phil Dakin is a managing director in the London office, where he works in our Advisory practise. Phil brings more than 18 years experience in the corporate advisory, restructuring and private equity markets, which has included advising a wide range of stakeholders and undertaking all manner of strategic business reviews, operational and financial due diligence and restructuring.Phil joined Duff & Phelps in 2016 from Greybull Capital, where he undertook roles on a number of high-profile acquisitions and restructurings, including, the acquisition of Tata Steel’s Scunthorpe Steelworks, resulting in the rescue of jobs and the acquisition of 140 convenience stores from Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, supporting a bid led by former Secret Millionaire Mike Greene and establishing the MyLocal chain of stores. Phil’s most recent assignments include the restructure and sale of a ‘food-to-go’ manufacturer into both the public and private sectors; Assisting a private equity house in the acquisition, transition and integration of a long established fashion group in which his primary focus was on supply chain management; and, Providing financial due diligence for a private equity house on their proposed acquisition of a food manufacturer supplying into the discount and large supermarket groups.Phil is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and holds a degree from Durham University.
