Profile - Skilled financial professional (with a MBA) who has worked in Head of Finance roles (usually FD) for 30 years adding significant value to businesses, including turnarounds and VC backed companies. After training in multinationals most of my career has been in SMEs £2M - £50M working in high profile companies in a variety of sectors - notably-LogisticsWholesale and retail of clothing, shoes and pharma\\cosmetic products (including Eretail experience)Facilities Management and Consultancy ServicesFMCG - mainly Far East sourcingManufacturing and DistributionFinancial ServicesMy strengths include adaptable finance expertise centred on SME business empathy and know how, excellent stakeholder partnering skills, boosted by experience as an MD and previous HR and Operational responsibilities. Previously as a 5% shareholder I was involved in a turnaround situation backed by VCs with Prima Corporate Wear which sold to Alexander Workwear for £4M. I was then Group FD of a shoe distributor and MD of their Eretail business (Society Footwear Ltd) which I bought out from Fresh\\33 Joints in February 2013 as part of a settlement for my shares\\investment in the main Group.In 2015/16 I was Head of Finance for Not Just Cleaning Ltd (FM) managing a payroll of 800 people,introducing Invoice Financing to replace a static overdraft, helping NJC grow from £12M to £20M. I was then at The Organic Pharmacy based in Acton (Mfr\\Wholesale\\Retail of Organic Pharma\\cosmetics products).Joining as FC I produced 3 sets of Annual Accounts in 18 months, revamped the Finance team and recovered a poor initial situation. I helped TOP expand into the USA and was promoted to FD in June 2017 after resolving an aggressive VAT enquiry and saving £140K of CT in R+D claims. After the sale of TOP in July 18 I moved to International Fire Consultants based in Princes Risborough. At IFC I also helped the owner market and sell the business (in February 21 to Kiwa Group). For 12 months (until (Feb 22) I was Head Of Finance at Kiwa IFC Group and part of the SMT there.After Kiwa IFC I secured a 12m interim position in Windsor as Group Finance Manager for Record Currency Management Ltd a quoted Financial Services business In December 22 I joined Perishable Movements Ltd as FD. Based in Feltham. PML are now part of the renowned French Seafrigo Group and I enjoyed being involved in the recent sale process (July 23). In June 24 I formed my own Consultancy company with PML as a major client.
