ABOUT PHIL BAILEY
Phil is the Environmental Assurance Lead for SCS Railways, delivering HS2 Main Works S1 & S2 (London Tunnels). This is a senior environmental role on the £4billion project designing and constructing the Euston approach and Northolt tunnels for HS2. The role involves managing a team of environmental specialists responsible for delivering the HS2 Environmental Minimum Requirements, some of the highest environmental standards ever seen in a UK civil engineering project. Phil is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), experienced in environmental management and sustainable construction. Responsible for environmental awareness within the company to promote positive behaviours and attitudes to achieve excellent environmental performance. Knowledge of auditing and developing management systems, processes, and procedures including ISO 14001, 9001, and 14064 systems led to Phil being a member of the Chartered Quality Institute and achieving his second chartership as a Quality Professional (CQP MCQI).
