ABOUT PHEBEN GETAHUN
I am a second-year student at New York University studying Politics & Public Policy and an MLK Scholar, currently pursuing an accelerated 4+1 Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public & Nonprofit Management. Alongside my academic work, I am the founder of EmpowerEthEri, an initiative focused on advancing equity, education, and empowerment amongst my community back home. After graduation, I plan to attend law school and hold strong interests within the fields of human rights, global education, and the role of marketing in shaping effective public policy. Approaching law and governance from a global perspective has strengthened my ability to understand diverse viewpoints and as I embark on the rest of my academic journey, I hope to develop the legal and analytical tools necessary to confront complex, systemic challenges in policy and governance.
