ABOUT PHEBE OJO
I am a Mathematical Modelling and Optimization researcher with a strong foundation in applied analysis and financial mathematics. My work sits at the intersection of rigorous mathematical theory and real-world applications, with particular focus on optimal transport, optimization, and network-based systems.My research explores the geometric and analytical structure of Wasserstein spaces, gradient flows in metric spaces, and the dynamical formulation of optimal transport. In my master’s thesis, Optimal Transport in Gas Networks, I investigated the Benamou-Brenier framework and its application to flow problems on networks, combining variational methods, numerical analysis, and applied modelling. I am particularly interested in how abstract mathematical structures can inform practical systems in energy, finance, and infrastructure.Beyond academia, I am deeply committed to educational empowerment and social impact. I am the Founder of The Eagles Academy, a platform dedicated to mentoring and raising young leaders, and I actively contribute to initiatives through TCH Foundation aimed at supporting underserved communities. I believe mathematical thinking and leadership development are powerful tools for transformation.I am currently seeking PhD opportunities in Optimization, Applied Mathematics, and related fields. I am open to research collaborations and academic partnerships that bridge theory, computation, and impactful applications.
