I sit at the intersection of energy markets, data, and AI, helping trading and finance teams operate from the same reality when it comes to risk, positions, and P&L. As a Commercial Analyst at ARM Energy, my work centers on three areas: commercial analytics, reporting, and ETRM systems transformations. I translate complex trading activity into structured data, dashboards, and insights that support decision-making across finance and commercial trading teams. I believe the most effective reporting starts at the database level. Instead of relying on front-end exports and manual spreadsheets, I tap in directly from system backend datasets using SQL and Power Query and conduct modeling and transforms to create automated workflows. I also lead a major ETRM system modernization within an Agile framework using AI-assisted workflows to draft and refine user stories, organize requirements, and keep front, middle, and back office needs aligned as we modernize our technical infrastructure. Across all of this, I use AI as a practical accelerator. Tools like Claude Cowork and Code, Perplexity Computer, Copilot, Notion and others help me prototype complex queries and measures for data modeling, structure requirements, draft documentation, and stay on top of energy, data, technology and AI trends so we can adopt these capabilities safely and responsibly.
