Hello! I\'m Peyvand Sadeghian, an actor, puppeteer, writer, and performance maker from London, UK. My work is a reflection of diverse experiences, rooted in East London with a backdrop of refugee and immigrant heritage. I navigate the complex spaces between colonised and coloniser, insider and outsider, challenging stereotypes and reshaping expectations. My artistic expression is fueled by real-world research, geopolitics, social theory, and personal narratives. Employing a multidisciplinary approach, I blend performance with stop motion animation, veer from traditional modes, merging highbrow and lowbrow into a irreverant form of creative expression. As a Goldsmiths College alum, influenced by a culture that values creative investigation of ideas, I approach the rehearsal space with curiosity, collaboration, and adaptability. My creative process thrives on exploring new directions, eagerly seeking unforeseen connections and delving into research, all while accompanied by a bespoke playlist. To me, theatre is an act of community — a dynamic, shared reality that invites audiences into a realm of collective experiences and viewpoints. My work traverses the spectrum of the arts sector, from Fringe Theatres and National Portfolio Organisations to academic and community settings, engaging audiences from three to a hundred and three years old, including a brief foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a specialist in weaving diversity and dialogue into my work, contributing to a broad array of projects without compromising my distinct identity as a performer and maker, sometimes as a collaborator, at times as an initiator.
