ABOUT PEYTON HANSON
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Georgia studying a B.S. of Health Promotion with an emphasis in behavioral medicine on a pre-med pathway. I’m passionate about understanding the connections between health, behavior, and medicine. My clinical experiences shadowing physicians in orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine have given me firsthand insight into patient care, while my research at the Medical College of Georgia deepened my interest in the physiological aspects of health. Through my studies and hands-on experiences, I’m driven to explore how behavioral medicine can bridge the gap between science and patient outcomes.Beyond academics, I enjoy engaging with my community, particularly through mentoring athletes with disabilities for Special Pops Tennis. I have a passion for public health, understanding community health challenges, and addressing health disparities in underserved populations. As I continue my journey in public health and medicine, I look forward to opportunities that allow me to combine research, clinical experience, and advocacy to improve health outcomes.
