ABOUT PEYTON E LASSITER

I’m a cybersecurity-focused IT Analyst specializing in vulnerability management, patch management, and enterprise security operations across multi-property environments.Currently, I support regional cybersecurity initiatives by leveraging tools like Qualys VMDR, Exabeam SIEM, and Cisco Secure Endpoint to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across servers and endpoints. My work is centered around reducing organizational risk, improving patch compliance, and driving measurable improvements in security posture—including lowering TruRisk scores and strengthening baseline configurations.I’ve developed and standardized VMDR dashboards to provide visibility into vulnerability trends, EOL systems, and remediation progress across multiple environments. I regularly collaborate with corporate security teams, regional IT leadership, and vendors to ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. In addition to my enterprise experience, I actively build hands-on skills in penetration testing and security analysis using platforms such as DVWA, OWASP Juice Shop, and tools like Nmap, Nikto, Hydra, and Ncrack. This allows me to approach security from both a defensive and offensive perspective.I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity (graduating May 2026) and hold the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification, along with Qualys VMDR and Patch Management certifications.
