ABOUT PETRA SPRECHER

I grew up near Basel, Switzerland. I have joined the local Youth Circus at age six and for the following nine years of my childhood, I\'ve built my character by training, performing and traveling with fifty fellow kids! I then decided to deepen my knowledge about the stage and studied for two years in Zürich, Switzerland, at a private theater school called COM-ART, which focuses on mime, theatre and dance.With a few more skills in my bag, I was immediately accepted in Montréal, Qc, at the NATIONAL CIRCUS SCHOOL, and specialized in the Aerial Circus Art discipline called THE CLOUDSWING.My act won a Bronze medal in Wuqiao, China, at its reputable international acrobatic festival. Soon thereafter, I\'ve received a touring contract offer with CIRQUE DU SOLEIL\'S QUIDAM - Which I happily accepted! After completion, I decided to move to Los Angeles and start a new career as a stuntwoman.My debut was in Steven Spielberg\'s MINORITY REPORT. For over two decades, I have worked on a variety of Television shows and feature films as a stunt double and stunt actor. In 2009 I was nominated by the WORLD TAURUS STUNT AWARDS for Best High Work and Best Overall Stunt By A Woman. Later that same year, the Celebrity & Stuntwomen\'s Awards DIAMOND IN THE RAW, also known as ACTION ICON AWARDS, also nominated me in the Stuntwoman Of The Year category.This is where I\'m headed / Current interview that sums it up very well!
