ABOUT PETR ILYINSKII

Proven scientific leader with more than 20 years of industrial biotech R&D experience, brought multiple programs from initial conceptualization (POC and MOA studies) to pre-IND, IND and clinical trials, recognized for productivity, on-time data delivery, adept team building, effective problem solving and ability to lead cross functional groups. Hands-on and concept-developing experience in the fields of autoimmunity, allergy, inflammation, cell and gene therapy, infectious disease, viral and nucleic acid vectors, metabolics, vaccine and cancer research. Broad expertise in immunology, oncology, nanoparticle-based therapies, rare, genetic and metabolic disease of liver, kidney and pancreas, virology, vaccine development and cell biology. Specific skills: experimental planning and execution, rodent and NHP animal models, in vivo pharmacology, biomarkers, translational sciences, preclinical toxicology, working in a matrix environment, internal and external communication including CROs, vendors and KOLs, writing and presentation as documented by peer-reviewed publications, IP filings and invited talks. Worked with many autoimmune, inflammation, cancer, infectious and metabolic disease models. For 20 years supervised all the in vivo and most of in vitro research within two companies, has established and developed multiple animal models (mouse, rat, non-human primates) over a broad range of pharmacological and therapeutic applications and served as IACUC chair overseeing ACF operations and animal experimentation protocols and training. Strong research acumen with extensive peer-reviewed publication list. In the course of 15 years at the principal place of employment has moved from senior bench scientist to department leader thanks to productivity, communication skills, internal group cohesion, successful cross-functional interactions, adaptability and seamless transition to new tasks with minimal lead time.
