About Peter Zornio

Since I joined the company in 2006, I\'ve been privileged to be a part of Emerson\'s ongoing transformation and industry leadership. It\'s a company built on and driven by innovation, with automation professionals helping customers overcome their biggest challenges every day.As Chief Technology Officer, I’m responsible for innovation strategy, overall product roadmap design, and technology and portfolio direction – driving Emerson and the industry at large to the future of industrial automation and digital transformation. Automation and data management needs to step forward and help industry meet the new challenges of climate change, energy security, supply chain infrastructure and more. We have many new tools at our disposal – new analytics, cloud and edge technologies, emerging wireless and wired field networks – these are all part of the next generation of operational technology systems, which will need to be more integrated with the IT world as well.I also serve on the board of Emerson Ventures that invests in early-stage automation solutions, environmental sustainability technologies and industrial software solutions.Outside of Emerson, I\'m proud to be a member of the Forbes Technology Council, which gives me an opportunity to share my experience and reflections on the industry.
