Attorney in the environmental group of Jackson Walker’s Dallas office with a practice focused on regulatory, transactional, and dispute resolution matters in the environmental, health, and safety arenas. Regulatory practice includes counseling clients on federal and state laws, regulations, and permitting processes that impact their industrial operations; handling issues related to the regulation of chemicals and other products under the federal Toxic Substances Control Act, Texas Solid Waste Disposal Act, and Superfund law, among others; and developing compliance programs for domestically-produced chemicals and other products to meet the industry standards of foreign jurisdictions, with particular experience in the European Union. Extensive experience on projects related to the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated property.Transactional practice spans the United States and covers a breadth of matters, such as the acquisition and disposition of assets, including steelmaking, electric generation, and oil and gas assets.Regularly called upon to develop effective dispute avoidance and resolution strategies, with a focus on resolving and managing liability and litigation for clients across the country dealing with sites that have been listed on state and federal Superfund lists or are otherwise subject to liability, including oil companies, chemical manufacturers, dairy operators, and environmental laboratories.
