I was hired to lead operations, guiding revenue generation efforts and directing member activities for all club services – 650 total members and 165+ FTE and off-seasons employees. Appointed to shape and execute revenue growth and operational optimization, I pioneer and guide business intelligence through alternate solutions that convert valued assets into clear ROI. In addition, I deliver inventive best practices that guarantee high performance, long-term business relationships and increased productivity within the operational and member-development lifecycles. Piloting planning in support of multi-year strategic plans allows me to connect market intelligence with economic insight to correct and re-design weakness within horizontal and vertical channels. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS Delivery of Master Plan expected by May, 2019, which was approved with an 81% vote by the membership. Commissioned a capital reserve study in conjunction with club benchmarking to determine capital needs. Eliminated director of operations position, with goal of onboarding a maintenance engineer. Negotiated and secured union contracts in compliance with DOL regulations of service charge. Disconnected baseline management and brought under Orchard Lake Country Clubs Management. Hired Waterfront Director after recognizing the need for staff replacement. Upgraded the Sailing Director position; recruited a world-class sailor to enhance member interest. Upgraded kitchen and pastry department, with Executive Chef working toward “Master Chef Certification”. Onboarded a Purchasing Agent, which delivered ROI in one-month and improved food cost by four points. Reengaged the internship program with MSU, Grand Valley and OCC. Steered software conversion project from four systems to one, to include the following: Sequel database & accounting and POS software; a responsive website allowing for event, dining and tee time reservations; APP; CRM; and Labor Tracking.
