Working initially as an IT Business Partner, and most recently as IT Portfolio Manager, my role is to build, maintain and grow business relationships with stakeholders across the organisation as well as suppliers and industries outside the organisation. I\'m increasingly involved with project delivery and the management of directorate portfolios to ensure priorities are understood, projects are delivered, and costs are controlled whilst delivering benefit to the organisation.My responsibilities cover two directorates; Strategy and Resources. However, like most directorates within Local Government Authorities, these are wide-ranging areas that cover everything from Finance, IT, Legal, Communications, HR, Health & Safety and many others. My role is to act as a facilitator, an enabler and a critical partner to the business functions, working with them and the IT team and external partners to help the organisation get the most from it\'s assets and serve the local community in the most efficient and beneficial way.
