ABOUT PETER OLLIER

As part of the Bids Team at Addleshaw Goddard, I get to work on some of the most exciting proposals in the legal industry. My role involves managing a wide range of bids from procurement-driven panel processes covering multiple practice areas to short-turnaround M&A and IPO pitches. Our team manages proposals from pre-panel preparation to RfP and interview stage. This role builds on the nine years’ experience I gained working as a researcher, editor and publisher at Euromoney’s Legal Media Group and three and half years\' as a proposal manager at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. My skills include- Turning complex topics into concise, well-written and accessible content- Project management – this is key part of bid writing, but I have also managed events, award ceremonies, publications and website relaunchesOrganising and editing content – at present this includes working on the bid library of standard wording, but I have also structured websites, planned content marketing campaigns and commissioned a wide range of articles- Developing new products and processes – including through continuous improvement and agile development- In law, my specialities include: intellectual property; dispute resolution; and legal issues in China and the Asia-Pacific region- I have also recruited and managed journalists, researchers and sales and production teams and have P&L experience.
