ABOUT PETER GENT

As a software tester with over 3 years of experience in the domain of computer games development, and I\'ve graduated from the university of essex with a 2:1 grading and looking to get a 2:2 in a masters in artificial intelligence. I\'m tenacious, and a natural born troubleshooter that loves to really get stuck into a problem in the application domain. I feel that what I\'ve gained from my professional and academic experience has been a cutting-edge knowledge of key technologies (C++, Java, Python, Html, XHTML, CSS); methodologies (agile, extreme programming, OOA, OOD); and the hands on experience of working in a team, reporting to management and developing real software projects in world leading studios (including Lonhead studios, Crytek, frontier developments), with exposure to tools such as Jira, Devtrack and VC (perforce, git). In recent years I\'ve been working with Core Data Systems to develop successful business relations with a number of clients, including those in the financial sector. This interfaces well with the principles of agile development, and I feel makes me a great candidate for UAT as I deeply understand the needs of commercial businesses to deliver value to their enterprises. In the future I hope to work in a software testing environment, particularly in an agile team that allows me to embrace further professional development. I have recently passed my ISTQB foundation level exam in software testing and I’m looking for manual testing roles that lead to automation and BDD (spec flow, junior, pytest, jmeter, cucumber etc)
