Navigation and Port Safety Consultant, reporting to Project Manager and Regional Director of Environment Agency, I am working on the Boston flood defence construction project. I am responsible for providing independent technical advice & guidance relating to Navigation Management Plans (NMP), Port Traffic Navigational Safety, berth construction and safe shipping / cargo operations. Key achievements include: Supporting delivery of flood defence barrier project outputs, wet dock commercial traffic operations. Incorporated and deployed monitoring and analysis, and provided advice regarding merchant and leisure traffic practices and patterns, sea-bed bathymetry surveys, dredging programme monitoring. Consulted on multiple mooring issues and towage operations, and vessel salvage operations. Provided support and technical assistance for Environment Agency’s City-of-Lincoln Fossdyke flood protection upgrade scheme, and for the Hebden Bridge, in Yorkshire, flood-relief project.
