ABOUT PETER WALL
Peter’s career has been shaped by change — moving between journalism, entrepreneurship, and public service, and learning how different systems actually work from the inside.A former journalist turned builder, his work has taken him from documenting a mountain bike race in East Timor, to leading communications aboard an Arctic icebreaker, to ringing the opening bell at NASDAQ as CEO of a public company. Those experiences continue to inform how he thinks about storytelling, leadership, and execution in complex environments. He is the founder of Elbows Up, Canada, a non-partisan, grassroots initiative focused on civic unity and cultural storytelling. What began as a spontaneous gathering on Parliament Hill grew into a cross-country effort connecting Canadians through live events, digital storytelling, and shared moments of national pride.Today, Peter works in government, supporting Canada’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation. He is focused on communications, execution, and narrative at a moment when AI and digital transformation are moving quickly — and public institutions are working to keep pace.Alongside his work, Peter is developing his first book, Life As a Project, which explores careers not as straight lines but as a series of meaningful chapters — and how people can navigate transitions with intention in a rapidly changing world. At the core of everything, Peter is interested in how people adapt, how systems change, and how good storytelling helps bridge the gap between ideas and action.
