About Peter Finocchio

I’m an energized leader and team member with extensive experience in communications, policy, research, and legislative affairs, with a career focus on comprehensive political, governmental, and corporate management to include data analysis, operations, communications and compliance. I have a depth of experience on political messaging, competitive election campaigns, and public policy, along with a passion for improving my community and country.I became deeply involved in politics while a UVA College Republicans volunteer and eventual Chairman. After graduating, I worked on more than two dozen campaigns, including as longtime Campaign Manager for Virginia Delegate Glenn Davis and Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer’s successful 2020 reelection.I began my career in political communications as Communications Director for Craig Parisot’s 2015 Delegate campaign, the closest race in Virginia that cycle. I later served as War Room Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 2016, Regional Field Director for Ed Gillespie’s 2017 gubernatorial campaign, and both Regional Political Director and Deputy Statewide Field Director Governor Charlie Baker’s landslide 2018 reelect.In 2022, I managed Mike Lawler’s congressional campaign in NY-17, defeating Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney. Subsequently, I became Lawler’s Transition Aide and Communications Director for the 118th Congress. In 2025, I served on the communications and media operations teams for the Presidential Inaugural Committee before joining Governor Glenn Youngkin’s office as Press Secretary. I have my own LLC, Winning Right Consulting, and I am currently performing a number of roles—growing Off The Press’s contacts with Republican communicators as their Capitol Hill Liaison, helping run the Massachusetts Republican Party’s State Convention as Director of Floor Operations, and working as a consultant for District Communications Group to expand their partnerships within the federal government. I also serve in a number of volunteer capacities and leadership programs. I am both an Executive Branch for America Fellow with Dr. Ben Carson’s American Cornerstone Institute and a Leadership Fellow with American Conservation Coalition. I serve as both Deputy Political Director for the Young Republican National Federation and First Vice Chair of the Young Republican Federation of Virginia. Finally, I’m a current student in the U.S. Naval War College’s Graduate Degree Program. I appreciate using my time wisely to acquire new skills and advance causes that are important to me.
