About Peter Bode

With 2 decades working in the environmental and cultural fields, my shift has been geared toward tackling many of the issues in ecological health on the neighborhood, agency, and corporate levels. I have a network of sustainable communities/partners; tying them to their potential as a self-sustaining environmental entity. This, along with much experience in nonprofit management, organizational and project financing, community education, environmental policy, GIS analysis, volunteer coordination, bio-statistical metric incorporation, high level project coordination/consultation, and restoration project design (CERP) allows me to function at an efficient and effective level of productivity for any project I take on. I am the President and CEO of the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, where I am reaponsible for the financial sustainability, managment of 35+ employees, and progressing for expansions into the future.through the years, my core efforts lie in the curation of collaborative frameworks that help move forward initiatives throughout respective industries I\'ve impacted.EX:(large scale community organization) In 2019, I led the Xtinguish Celebration and Xtinguish Torchfest. A cultural dive into the sectors of the Cuyahoga River Watershed in commemoration of the last time it burned 50 years ago. I brought together over 350 partners, hosted 127 events, and interacted with 10s of thousands of people. In 2019, I was named to the moCa New Agency, a Cleveland State \"Outstanding Young Alumni\", was the feature profile in the CSU Summer Alumni magazine. In 2020, I earned my CERP (Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner) certification. This credential will allow for the ever expansion of my impact on the natural environment through environmental restoration and remediation.2020-22 I also took a seat as Planning Commissioner in Seven Hills, Board President of the Lake Erie Institute, and Board member for Big Love Network. I accepted the position of Executive Director of the Community Life Collaborative in 2022 where I guided this young organization to a sustainable framework including incorporation of a PR firm, Development Firm, and bringing dozens of regional partners to the table framing the CLC as an unbiased facilitating entity in the conversation. In 2023, I was honored as one of Crains Cleveland Business\'s 40 under 40 \"best and brightest\".The culmination of these efforts allotted an opportunity to lead the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes as their President and CEO, for whom I still serve.
