About Peter Zhao
I’m a rising high school senior passionate about creating ventures that use technology to solve real-world problems. I work across on-device machine learning, computer vision, robotics, and accessible tech. I developed SightSense, an award-winning iOS app that helps blind and low-vision users navigate their surroundings. I also lead software development for my school’s FRC robotics team, a role I’ve held since freshman year.I’ve taken advanced coursework in algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, discrete mathematics, and multivariable calculus. I have also self-studied 7 AP subjects. My work has earned recognition as a 2024 Congressional App Challenge winner, multiple hackathon victories, and as an AIME qualifier.I enjoy solving complex technical problems, turning ideas into mature products.
