ABOUT PETER WRIEBE

As a young engineer I have been fascinated by technologies and the benefit they can deliver. As a rookie sales & marketing manager I took great pleasure in translating these technologies into consumer benefits and viable business models. The more profit they delivered, the better! Working with teams in numerous international markets and as a Vice President in a Chinese joint venture, I learned to appreciate diversity and the fact that taking a detour sometimes delivers the best results. In my early 50´s being a senior manager, having worked with some of the biggest markets and having visited several of the multi million cities, I started to question the higher - faster - stronger - more - mantra. Thus I became a stranger within my business environment and decided to opt out of it. What sounds so easy, was actually a painfull and highly frustrating journey, in which I waisted far too much life-energy and life-time. Based on my own experiences and omossions, I am helping seniors who are facing smiliar challenges to maneuver through these difficult and often embarassing times. At 56 I took the chance to co-work and co-live with a team of young entrepreneurs in the Berlin Start Up environment. Having been the grey haired oldie in this vibrant city, I truely enjoyed the creative and innvovative maker spririt. And I learned that diversity and inclusivity must as well apply for the age dimension. Now in my early 60´s, I am convinced that we have to change from a growth driven business model to a business approach which is first and foremost improving quality of life for all man kind. I am happy to share may knowledge and experience for endeavors working towards the 17-Sustainable-Development-Goals #SDG.
