Wooding Design is a multi-disciplinary Design Firm offering services in Industrial Design & Interior Architecture. Our clients have been diverse and pleased with the results we have provided. They range from Corporate Headquarters in many different kinds of architectural spaces from single buildings (Cookson America in the converted Providence Railroad Station to high rise towers for Nortek and Peat, Marwick and many others). We have also provided product design services to Herman Miller Inc, Kimball International, Helicon, Jofco International and Nessen & D\'ac Lighting to name a few. As a current Fellow member of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), I am a former President (for two years) & then Chairman of the Board for another two. During my time in office, I & my fellow officers helped to initiate new international relations by reaching out to countries such as Hungary and the USSR for an exchange & sharing involving mutual cooperation, as well be willing to share mutual benefits. The latter was quite an accomplishment involving the US State Department helping our profession reach out to the Soviet Society of Designers during the period of Peristroika (their word close to \"cultural exchange\") with the intent of sharing professional experiences through mutual exchange each traveling to the others country & leading to greater international understanding. This sharing was considered a successful accomplishment based on the value of the experiences & information shared as well as the publicitiy and important public relations it provided for both countries. We visited Moscow, St. Petersburg & Tbilisi, making presentations & sharing the diversity and value of our work in the USA. It also conveyed the considerable role & value that design can play in all cultures.worldwide.
