ABOUT PETER WELLS

As the General Counsel and Head of Tax at VALE Insurance Partners, I have over 20 years of experience in providing legal solutions in both law firm practice and the private sector. I hold a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA from the University of Vermont. My core competencies include corporate and regulatory law, tax law, tax advisory, employment matters, contract negotiation, and stakeholder management. I lead a team of legal professionals who advise and support VALE on all legal and corporate matters, such as compliance, litigation, transactions, and risk management. I also oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures that optimize VALE\'s tax position and align with its business objectives. Furthermore, I leverage my expertise to counsel VALE\'s senior management and board of directors on complex and emerging issues and opportunities. I am passionate about delivering high-quality legal solutions that enable VALE to grow and thrive in a dynamic and competitive industry.
