I hold the responsibility for the structures, roadways and outdoor spaces on 12 sites around the UK and Ireland for Univar Solutions. Within this role, I lead a team of 4 on the compliance, maintenance and general repairs of all buildings and their contents excluding areas containing production equipment or tanks and blending facilities which are supported by the engineering team. Responsibilities include:• Inspection and maintenance/repairs to all facilities including Property Audits• Selection, appointment and liaison with all contractors supporting the function• Ensuring compliance and service visits are completed at all sites for the following:o Access Controls, HVAC, Asbestos Surveys and Monitoring, CCTV, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm/Smoke Detection, Fire Extinguishers, Gates and Barriers, Intruder Alarms, Legionella Risk Assessment and Survey, Lift Maintenance, PAT Testing, Water Machines and Klaxxon Inspections• Capex and project delivery• New lease and lease renewals across the portfolio• Experienced in closing down and disposal of sites.Currently undertaking maturity assessment of the department and looking at all aspects of works covered to ensure we are using robust systems and best practice. Recently awarded global award (internally) for cost savings and efficiencies achieved in 2024. Additional negotiations on contracts taking savings to over £1m for the year.I have worked for Univar Solutions for 10 years and have extensive experience in facilities management, budget control, capex submission and delivery, project management and regional input.
