ABOUT PETER RIEGGER
With over 20 years of experience in engineering, research, and technology development, I am passionate about creating innovative and sustainable solutions for energy and propulsion systems. As the Vice President of PowerLab at Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, I lead multidisciplinary teamS of experts in developing products and technologies that enable the transition to a carbon-neutral future. My mission is to deliver high-performance, reliable, and efficient solutions that meet the needs of our customers and society, while advancing the state of the art in our field. In my current role, I am responsible for the implementation of new solutions from technology readiness to product handover, covering a wide range of applications and markets. Some of the key areas of focus include microgrids, fuel cell systems, electrolysis, hydrogen, and power-to-X. I am also in charge of the sustainability and CO2 roadmap of the company, ensuring that we align our strategy and actions with our environmental and social goals. I have contributed to the founding of the business unit \"Sustainable Power Solutions\", which aims to offer integrated and customized solutions for green and distributed energy systems. Additionally, I have leveraged my skills in electrical, mechanical, logical, and thermal system integration, patent and trademark management, and project execution in the matrix to drive innovation and excellence in our products and processes.
