Peter RidgeDirector – Power Systems & Energy Sector | CundallBEng MSc CEng MIETI lead and established Cundall’s Power Systems discipline and Energy Sector, building both from the ground up into high-performing, strategic areas of the business. I now oversee a multidisciplinary team delivering complex, future-ready power solutions across the energy and data centre landscape — from 11kV to 400kV, and from first principles through to energisation.Our Energy Sector team partners with EPCs, developers, and end users to deliver technically robust and commercially sound projects in renewables, battery storage, hydrogen, and private grid connections. We specialise in substation and Balance of Plant (BoP) design, grid compliance (G99, G5, P28, EMT, Grid Code), and high-voltage power system studies.In parallel, our Power Systems team plays a key role in Cundall’s Data Centre Sector, acting as lead consultants on hyperscale campuses exceeding 1GW. Our work includes bespoke high-voltage substations, complex generator networks, MV/LV distribution, and resilience-led protection design.What unites all our work is a focus on enabling the energy transition. We help clients navigate grid constraints, decarbonise infrastructure, and deliver Net Zero Carbon outcomes — underpinned by innovation, collaboration, and first-principles engineering.I’m passionate about tackling complexity, providing clear technical leadership, and building trusted partnerships that shape long-term sustainable infrastructure.
