Responsible for the overall success of the Mid-Market & Integrated Vision Product portfolio. A product portfolio champion with strong customer focus, providing vision and guidance both upwards to management and downwards to the product line team. Both outward and inward facing, having the opportunity to cultivate relationships both with external parties - key customers, suppliers, collaborative institutions and other Teledyne entities, as well as internal parties -manufacturing, materials, senior management, finance, to ensure thorough engagement in all aspects of the business. Planning:• Understand customer application needs, anticipate how they will change over time in order to identify the features, performance and pricing of products needed to remain competitive in those areas identified by our strategy.• Ensure a broad awareness of industry conditions, competitive products, competitor activities, changes at key customers and applicable regulatory influences.• Ensure effective product development plans are created in alignment with the annual Business Plan.Execution:• Provide functional direction, technical guidance, and coordination for members of the project team. • Deliver new products & services to the market as per documented development plans, on time, on budget and with agreed to competitive performance against industry benchmarks.• Assist with Business Development and customer management activities, including customer visits, attendance to conferences and trade-shows, and identification of collaborative opportunities with other Teledyne Business Units and/or external agencies.• Work with the relevant Manufacturing team to ensure the smooth transition of new productions to production readiness, with a robust and efficient supply chain, with high first-pass production yields and strong gross margins / throughput.
