ABOUT PETER NIELSEN

Should we buy or build? Should we renovate or move? What can we actually afford? I hear these questions all the time. There are so many variables to be aware of – and I caution you to make sure you trust the person answering these all-important questions. I’ve been in this business for a very long time and heard these questions over and over again. Ultimately what the most important answer is: What is the BEST solution for YOU? I begin the process by delving into that question – What is the BEST solution for you in your given situation? Through consultation and building a relationship, together, we can work through your wants and needs, and understand the challenges – deciding whether the next steps include working with me or not. What’s important to me is that we find the best solution for YOU. My work as a construction professional includes: Residential Projects: renovations or additions for young growing families with a budget, all the way up to high-end clients looking for their waterfront dream home. Mentoring the future construction industry professionals: Through an advisory role at BCIT and sitting on various industry educational boards, I thrive to make this industry inviting and exciting for the upcoming generation of builders. Building my team at Alair Homes: It’s important to me to build a culture of people who care about people and take pride in exceeding client expectations. From my beginnings working alongside my dad, a Danish finishing carpenter, to getting my Building Technology Diploma and Construction Management degree at BCIT, then joining the largest general contractor in Canada, I laid the foundation for becoming my own boss.
