ABOUT PETER MILDON

I co-founded VivaCity in 2015, driven by a passion for creating safer and more efficient urban environments for cyclists. My journey began at the University of Cambridge, where my role as Chief Engineer on the Solar Car team ignited an entrepreneurial spirit and honed my engineering and problem-solving skills.At VivaCity, I was instrumental in scaling the company to a market-leading position in Road Usage Sensors, with a focus on Active Travel, across the UK, USA, and Australia. This involved overseeing significant growth, securing over £40m in commercial contracts, £17.7m in venture capital, and £4m in government grant funding, with annual revenues growing to >£7m. With a background in General Engineering and experience at a Systems Engineering Consultancy, I bring an analytical and problem-solving approach to business growth. My expertise includes working at the intersection of corporate, technical and commercial strategy, implementation of market launch and growth initiatives, organizational design and scaling, data-driven decision-making, financial modeling, and process improvements.As I transition into a Non-Executive role at VivaCity, I am excited to leverage my nearly decade of experience in building and scaling an AI company to support other scale-ups through strategic and operations consulting. I am also passionate about developing future leaders and will be offering training for managers aspiring to C-Suite positions, helping them navigate the complexities of growth and leadership in dynamic environments.
