ABOUT PETER MERRETT
I am a Director of Merrett Survey Ltd and also of the newly created Africa Precision SARL (founded in Cameroon). Merrett Survey Ltd is based in UK but we work worldwide providing a variety of topographic services including airborne LIDAR, terrestrial laser scanning and asset surveys.The oil and gas industry, plus power plant and transmission industries are our primary (but not the only) markets.I originally trained as a Mining Engineer at the Camborne School of Mines, but then went in to seismic oil and gas exploration and eventually started my own business in surveying.One of our most prestigous project to date has been to assist the UN with defining the International Boundary between Nigeria and Cameroon. We have also done the same for the UN on the Kuwait-Iraq border.Specialities: Aerial lidar, terrestrial laser scanning, topographic mapping, GIS, asset surveys, consultancy, GPS, GNSS, pipeline mapping, storage tank survey, calibration and deformation analysis, 3D modelling of complex plant.Our USP - We go anywhere. To date we have worked in 61 different countries and on every Continent except Antarctica.
