About Peter Mero

After graduating from the University of Hartford with a degree in mechanical engineering, Peter joined United Technologies to work on the U.S. Space Shuttle and its life support systems. Years later he formed his own engineering firm. In 1995, he decided to bring his fine-tuned analytical skills to the financial business as a financial advisor with Smith Barney. With his training in managing risk as an engineer, Peter was naturally attracted to strategies to hedge risk in his portfolio.
