About Peter M. Insabella

Peter has 20 years of mortgage origination and sales management experience with extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry which enables him to make quick and accurate decisions throughout the mortgage process. He has been recognized in the Lowcountry as a leader in the mortgage banking industry and enjoys working with team members and borrowers to create a tailor-made solution specific to their home buying or refinance needs. He accredits his success through open communication, loan process education and exceeding customer expectations. Peter travels amongst all SAB branches and is responsible for sales management training and development of mortgage loan officers and works directly with South Atlantic Banks Mortgage Operations team. His focus is having all staff members work together to accomplish individual and team goals!Peter joined South Atlantic Bank in 2013 to build the Charleston Region. From the humble beginnings of a small office suite in Mt Pleasant, South Atlantic Bank now has 2 full-service Retail branches in the Charleston region as well as 4 full-service branches in Beaufort County (Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort) which adds to the Bank’s 6 branches covering all of Georgetown and Horry County. All to which offer a personal customer experience across the board.(Retail banking, residential and commercial lending). Around the community, Mr. Insabella was President of the Mortgage Lenders Association of Greater Charleston in 2015 and in 2022 became a Director with the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas (MBAC). Peter and South Atlantic Bank are members of the Charleston Homebuilders Association, Sponsor the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors, and Hilton Head Area Realtors. Peter has a Finance degree from the University of South Carolina and currently lives in Charleston with his wife Summer, and two children.
